Skagit Valley tennis Association (SVTA) hosted the 2nd Annual Spring Swing Beginners Tennis Camp April 3rd through 6th under the protective cover of the Skagit Valley College Tennis Pavilion.
35 spirited, energetic, 9 to 14 year old boys and girls participated in 2 separate sessions each day! SVTA board members Terry Williams, Dave Moreland and Elaine Dixon were assisted by volunteers Natalie Scammell, Sophie Johnson and John Verdoes.
The kids were introduced to all of the various strokes and several of the nuances of tennis including etiquette, stretching, footwork, movement and scoring through drills and games.
It was a week of learning, fun, and playing games – see you next year!
