About the Event

The Nick Whiton Memorial Tournament is the Skagit Valley Tennis Association's signature summer event - a weekend of competitive doubles tennis that brings together players from across the region in honor of beloved Burlington-Edison coach Nick Whiton, whose dedication to the game and the people who play it lives on in every match.

Open to adult players and high school graduates, the tournament features men's, women's, and mixed doubles divisions across a range of combined ratings (6.0 - 9.0), so there's a competitive home for every level. Every player is guaranteed at least two matches. Prizes awarded to division winners.

Beyond the competition, the Whiton Tournament is SVTA's primary fundraiser - proceeds support youth and adult tennis programs throughout the Skagit Valley, including junior clinics, high school pre-season camps, and the summer high school league. Come play. Come support the game.
